Blurring the line between fiction and reality, Spanish filmmaker Èric Boadella combines professional actors with real people, allowing their lived experiences to inject a raw, genuine energy into the final tone of his films. He is currently developing his third feature film: a grindhouse style horror-action set in the California desert and starring Danny Trejo; this project emerged following the cult reception garnered by his horror short film, Magical Meat.
His debut feature film, Toastmaster, earned multiple awards and was acquired by Canal+. His second feature, City of Love, now streaming on Tubi and Pluto TV, established his unique style of fusing genre cinema with incisive, character-driven storytelling.
Beyond narrative filmmaking, Èric has directed over 50 music videos worldwide for artists including Enrique Bunbury and Tracii Guns. He is an alumnus of the FOX TV Directors Lab and a Walt Disney Television Creative Talent Development & Inclusion Fellow.
