Yeung-Tat Wong was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Choi Hung Estate, Kowloon. He later enrolled in the 'Film Academy' at Hong Kong Baptist University. He was a member of the HKBU debate team and is also a novelist. Tat worked on sound for Fruit Chan's 'Little Cheung', 'Durian, Durian', and 'Hollywood Hong Kong' from 1999 to 2000. In 2001, he switched to working as an assistant director, helping Lawrence Ah Mon's 'Gimme Gimme' and Derek Chiu Sung-Kei's 'Love au Zen'. In the same year, he joined Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) as a senior scriptwriter for TV dramas. In the meantime, he still wrote film scripts, such as Hark Tsui's 'Seven Swords'. In 2009, he moved to Shaw Brothers' film company and wrote scripts for films such as 'Laughing Gor - Turning Point', '72 Tenants of Prosperity', and 'I Love Hong Kong'. Later, Tat founded the online radio station 'Passion Times' to fully promote cultural work. In 2021, when his students MC KidNey and MC SoHo needed his help, he returned to scriptwriting for the TV series 'Generation Slash'.
