Doni Callahan is a writer, director, and producer based in the St. Louis metro area. She creates character-driven films that explore identity, belonging, resilience, and the moments of connection that define us.
As the founder of Djc Filmz, Doni approaches filmmaking through collaboration, authenticity, and empathy. She is passionate about creating stories that balance cinematic vision with emotionally grounded characters, believing the most powerful films are built around human connection.
A transfeminine nonbinary filmmaker who uses she/they pronouns, Doni brings a perspective shaped by perseverance and a lifelong appreciation for stories about acceptance, hope, and finding where we belong.
Her directing work includes the fan film *Supermen: World War* and the upcoming short film *A Simple Hello*. She also produced *Superhero Overtime* with Retrohawk Productions, continuing her work in genre storytelling and independent film production.
