Alejo Maglio is an Argentine cinematographer and visual artist born in Buenos Aires, based in Madrid. His work spans narrative film, series, documentary, and commercial projects, with a distinctive approach rooted in natural light, texture, and human presence.
His first feature as Director of Photography, *The Student*(2010)(dir. Santiago Mitre), earned him the Best Cinematography Award from the Argentine Association of Cinematographers (ADF).
His work on *The Delinquents* (dir. Rodrigo Moreno) premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival (2023) and received Best Cinematography awards from the Argentine Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Havana Film Festival. He served as Director of Photography on the Disney+ miniseries *Nada* (dir. Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat), starring Luis Brandoni and Robert De Niro. (2025) He began collaborating with filmmaker Wang Bing on a documentary project
