- Before reaching her 18th birthday, Mallu Magalhaes was already one of the most promising newcomers on the Brazilian music scene. With 4,3 million views on her MySpace web page, her name was highly publicized and she received compliments from such artists as Tom Ze, Caetano Veloso, Marcelo Camelo, Kassin and Nelson Motta.
Her music career began when she was 15 years old and recorded some songs on a studio where she also met the band who follows her on the road. A big fan of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, Mallu expended her musical influences when she started to feel closer to the Brazilian music. Her second album has influences from artists like Nara Leao, Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso.
Besides being a talented singer and a songwriter, Mallu plays numerous instruments and she has an interest in fashion, paintings and drawings.
