Christopher Henze is a filmmaker and narrative disruptor whose work interrogates the spaces where truth, pain, and power collide. His storytelling doesn't flatter-it exposes. Whether crafting documentaries or scripted drama, his films ask us to reckon with the systems we inhabit and the voices those systems erase.

His latest project, Wise Women - Why Menopause Matters, reframes menopause not as decline but as an evolutionary leap-a biological advantage that shaped human survival. Part science, part personal reckoning, part feminist manifesto, the film has been described by early audiences as "the documentary that made me re-evaluate my entire species."

Henze's previous feature 40 Weeks chronicled the physical and emotional terrain of pregnancy with unflinching intimacy. He also co-produced Planet of the Humans, the controversial exposé on the green energy industry and its corporate entanglements. Grounded in partnership-with his wife Dominique and daughter Gaia-and shaped by working with filmmakers like Michael Moore, Jeff Gibbs, and Jonathan Sanger, Henze's work centers the people we're told not to listen to: mothers, elders, whistleblowers, protestors, and anyone else inconvenient to the status quo.

He lives in New Jersey, bikes often, and prefers to make films that upset at least three institutions and one dominant narrative per project.
