Biography

Wab Kinew was born on December 31, 1981 in Kenora, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor, known for Global National (2001), The Maintenance Man (2009) and Zwei Indianer aus Winnipeg (2009). He has been married to Lisa Monkman since 2014. They have three children.

On October 18, 2023, he became Manitoba's first First Nations premier, making Manitoba the first Canadian province to elect a First Nations premier. He is of Anishinaabe heritage.
