  • Patrick Cannell is a composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Recent projects include the DreamWorks animated series Dragons: The Nine Realms, Academy Award-nominated writer/director José Rivera's whimsical comedy "The Civet," Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated director Zaza Urushadze's WWI epic "Anton," director Kelsey Egan's South African dystopian thriller "Glasshouse" which premiered at the 2021 Fantasia International Film Festival, and director Rashaad Ernesto Green's "Premature" which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and sat at #1 on Rotten Tomatoes.

    Additional projects include Academy Award-nominated writer/creator Carlos Saldanha's (Ice Age, Rio, Ferdinand) Netflix series "Invisible City," Academy Award-nominated director Henry Alex Rubin's "State of Gratitude" commercial for Montefiore thanking Covid-19 front line workers with symphony musicians scattered around New York City (2021 AICP Show Winner: Licensed Soundtrack or Arrangement), and string quartet arrangements for Death of Classical's critically acclaimed 36-performance multimedia event "To America" at Historic Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY honoring victims of police injustice.

    Other endeavors include collaborations with Grammy-winning recording artists, scores to Clio & Cannes Gold Lion award-winning TV and Super Bowl commercials, original songs for an innovative Broadway musical dramedy, and works for orchestra and chamber ensembles.
