Biography

Jenny Hagel is an Emmy-nominated TV writer and comedy performer in New York. She has spent 11 years as a writer/performer on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she created the recurring segment Jokes Seth Can't Tell. Jenny also served as Head Writer/Executive Producer of The Amber Ruffin Show. Other writing credits include the Golden Globe Awards, the ESPY Awards, Impractical Jokers, and Big Gay Sketch Show. Jenny has been nominated for 6 Emmys for comedy writing, and she won a Sports Emmy for her work producing comedy videos at the Tokyo Olympics. In 2026, she released her debut book of essays, "Advice No One Asked For."
