Biography

Satoshi Uemoto is a Japanese filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, and multidisciplinary visual artist based in Tokyo. His work spans film directing, acting, editing, and photography, reflecting a comprehensive approach to visual storytelling.

He began his career as an actor after training at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Japan, making his stage debut in The Merchant of Venice at the Tokyo Globe Theatre. He later expanded into film journalism, contributing to major entertainment publications and conducting interviews with internationally recognized actors and filmmakers.

Uemoto went on to establish himself as a director and content creator in digital and broadcast media, producing a wide range of programs featuring both Japanese and international film talent. Known for his hands-on production style, he has managed projects across all stages-from development and casting to filming and editing.

His original stage work Tokyo Bitch, I Love You was adapted into a feature film and screened at the Tokyo Filmex Festival, where it received a Special Mention in the Audience Award category.
