- Brother of Cayetano Rivera Ordóñez and Francisco Rivera Ordóñez.
- Has a son, Francisco (born November 7th, 2012), with model Jessica Bueno. The couple met in 2011 while they were contestants of Supervivientes: Perdidos en Honduras (2006). They were engaged, but eventually split up in 2013.
- Second child, daughter Ana, was born 15 December 2015. Mother is Rivera's current girlfriend Irene Rosales.
