- Shu Chen was born on March 9, 1977 in Huangshi, Hubei, China. She is an actress, known for Cloudy Mountain (2021), Tie Li Hua (2010) and The Martian (2015).
- She is the daughter of Chen Zong Shan, a dancer in Huangshi.
- She studied at Medium Dance School affiliated to Beijing Dance Academy and worked as an actress in China Song and Dance Ensemble from 1992 to 1999.
