- John Sebastian is an American actor, film producer, and entrepreneur based in New York City and Milan. Gordon is an accomplished actor and dedicated acting coach with an extensive international career across theatre, film, and television. He holds an MFA in Acting from The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York and a BFA in Acting from IEA Drama School, and has further refined his craft through intensive training at HB Studio and Black Nexxus in New York, as well as theatre seminars with CELCIT.
John has portrayed leading roles in a wide range of classical and contemporary productions, including Richard III (Richard), Hamlet (Hamlet), Dangerous Liaisons (Valmont), The Tempest (Caliban), Don Juan in Chicago (Don Juan), The Zoo Story (Jerry), Waiting for Godot (Vladimir), and Death and the Maiden (Gerardo). His work reflects a deep commitment to complex characters and emotionally driven storytelling.
On Screen, he has taken on leading roles in films such as No One’s Normal, Elle Etait et Elle Est, Même, Da Una Altra Faccia Del Tempo, and The Exit, as well as a supporting role in Resurrection. His Television credits include appearances on MTV/Much Music (Changing the World), TNT (C.A.S Outdoors), and Channel 4 Monte Carlo (Day and Night).
In addition to his acting and teaching work, John brings a diverse range of special skills that enrich both his performances and his coaching. He is trained in singing (rock, pop, and blues), tango, and piano, and has experience in disciplines such as Butoh, Tai Chi, Stage Combat, and Improvisation. A multilingual performer, he speaks fluent Spanish and works confidently with Italian, French and Portuguese dialects. He is also active in sports including tennis, golf, surfing, snow skiing, football, rugby, and polo, and is an experienced horseback rider with a valid driver’s license.
