Chow Hin Yeung, Roy, a renowned film director, screenwriter, and producer. The "Best New Director" from the 32th Hong Kong Film Awards. He is considered as the most innovative, stylized, and acclaimed new generation of film directors in Hong Kong / China. He graduated from The University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Art with First Class Honour degree in the Film Directing and have a Master of Science (Distinction) degree in Technology, Design and Leadership for Learning, and MA in Philosophy. He is currently a PhD researcher at HKU in Global Creative Industries and AI Filmmaking.
Roy Hin Yeung Chow began his career in the industry in the early 2000s. In 2000, while Chow was still at university, he began working for Bill Kong’s Edko Films Ltd., a leading film company in Asia that later produced international blockbuster films such as Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Zhang Yimou’s Hero. He spent many years in close collaboration with the acclaimed producer Bill Kong, during which Roy served as Mr. Kong’s Head of Development, Producer’s Assistant, and Script Developer, assisting him in developing film projects and participating in landmark productions.
