Lucia Edwards is London born actress, producer and director of English, Italian and Slovak heritage. Born into a creative family-her mother a writer and professor of aesthetics, her father a fashion designer-she was immersed in the arts from an early age.Trained at Central school of Speech and Drama in London, she was later awarded a scholarship by Anna Strasberg to study at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, a testament to her exceptional talent.
On screen, she has appeared in international productions including Borgia, Terra X , Devils , Zurich Crime TV series, and made her Bollywood debut opposite Govinda in Naughty @ 40. She built her stage career through acclaimed theatre productions including Anna Karenina, Crime and Punishment and Wedekind’s Lulu.
As a filmmaker, her debut short film The Red Painted Shoes (2020) earned global recognition, winning 13 international festival awards including Best Short Film and Best First Time Director at the Silk Road Film Awards Cannes. Her latest film Becoming Angelique (2025) has continued her award-winning trajectory, with wins at the Cinematic European Film Festival and Hollywood International Golden Age Festival . As of 2026, she continues to develop new projects as a triple threat -actress , producer and director-bringing bold, character-driven stories to screens across the world.
