Christin Baker is the CEO of Tello Films, often called the lesbian Netflix. She is an award-winning director and an Emmy-nominated producer.
Christin has been telling stories through video since she was 13, when her family got their first VHS camcorder. She began by directing music videos and SNL-style parodies with neighborhood kids. That early passion led her to found Tello Films in 2007.
Tello Films is the longest-running LGBTQ streaming platform and the first lesbian/queer network to receive an Emmy nomination*. Christin was an early pioneer in streaming content and is an expert in creating and distributing original features, shorts, and series, as well as building platforms that monetize niche entertainment.
In 2025, Christin received the Dan Ireland Award. She is also passionate about directing and won Best Director for Maybelle at the 2016 London Raindance Film Festival. Christin is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
Christin has made five lesbian/queer holiday rom-coms: The Christmas Writer, Merry & Gay, Christmas at the Ranch, I Hate New Year’s, and Season of Love, which was the first Hallmark-style lesbian/queer holiday rom-com in 2019.
She also directed and produced the thrillers Scare BNB: The Hosts and Double Booking, and is currently in post-production on her action-thriller VIV. In addition, Christin has released three seasons of the travel series Lez Go! Travel Show.
