Rujanee Mahakanjana is an award-winning director and producer based in Chicago. She is known for "Lab 99"(2024), "This Too Shall Pass" (2017), "Out of Sight" (2015), "Man and His Erections" (2009), and "Chicago Film News" (2017-). Her work tends to communicate thought-provoking existentialism through spirituality and symbolism with a healthy amount of subtle dark humor, mostly a combined influence of the work by Fujiko Fujio, David Lynch, Isaac Asimov, Denise Villeneuve, and Guillermo del Toro. She is also the founder of Nebula Creatives L3C, Shortcut 100 International Film Festival, and Pixquid.
