Dwayne Miles is a Baltimore native that developed a love and passion for acting at an early age. At the tender age of 4 years old he was featured in a school play where he portrayed the late great Paul Laurence Dunbar. Throughout his years in school he was cast in a few school productions such as Westside Story, Cinderella and The Roots. After high school he went on to study at The Arena Players (2003) an Historic theater in Baltimore were he studied improve, monologue, scene and stage. He later left The Arena Players to sought after some casting auditions, he went on many auditions although he didn't get casted in any major roles he was able to land a job as an extra on HBO's HIT Show "The Wire". (2005) This was a great experience for him because it allowed him to learn from professional actors, he also was able to see how a professional set was ran. Three years later he landed his first supporting role in an independent film entitled "Elysium", the film was shot in Fairfax VA and directed by Christopher Shrack (2008). Immediately following his first film Dwayne got active in his community and started working with local talents such as actors, musicians and comedians. In 2011 he Co-Starred in a local Youtube series "Bluffing Ass Nigga" (Debut in episode 3) #BAN took the city by storm and was a local HIT, doing his time on the series he was featured in 12 episodes. In 2012 Dwayne was casted and given a supporting role in another independent film entitled "One Song" which was shot in Baltimore and directed by Frankie Jones. In 2013 Dwayne tried directing for the first time when he directed a poetic visual entitled "Lost Love". The project made it to worldstar and had over 30,000 views upon its release. That same year he wrote and directed his own Youtube series "#DontBeDumb" and "#DontBeDumb2". He followed up with his first live stage play that he wrote and directed which was poetically narrated entitled "Couldn't See It Coming" held at Goucher College in Maryland, the play was an absolute success with over 500 people in attendance. The summer of 2014 Dwayne wrote and directed a prequel "Couldn't See It Coming II" which he held at Loyola University in Maryland. Dwayne has continued to stay connected to the arts, he's been involved in radio, theater productions, spoken word events etc. He still works on projects behind the scenes and he continues to write. He latest passion has been developing his new brand "Elevated Minds Apparel" a new apparel company that conveys the message of Entrepreneurship. Elevated Minds Apparel was born out of lack of thought provoking apparel. many clothing lines focus on aesthetics with no substance. Dwayne saw a need to do both, launched in 2018 with the signature "Entrepreneur Hoodie" the brand is growing vastly. The best is yet to come for this bright talented young man in the words of Dwayne himself "The Movement Is Moving".
