Biography

Gavin Salkeld is an award-winning American composer, sound mixer, director, actor, voice-over artist, and editor who started out making short films in 1999. Gavin's various projects have had success at film festivals around the globe, and he has been creating music since the late 1990s. Gavin started out making dance music before moving into writing ambient and electronica. His output blossomed during the mid-2000s and as of 2025 he has released 14 studio albums, many of which are available on Bandcamp.

Gavin's passion is composing for film. Since composing, arranging and producing his first score for one of his own short films in 2001, he has provided music for over 100 productions including corporate videos, radio jingles, short films, features, television series, and more. In addition to composing music, Gavin also directs and produces the YouTube series "Cutting Edge", which examines and discusses censorship in film, video games, and TV.
