- Argyle Goolsby is a singer/songwriter/performer/storyteller. His music has been described as bridging the energy and anthem of punk rock with romantic gothic elements. His career began in 1997 with the formation of the band Blitzkid in which he played bass and sang for until their disbandment in 2012. Blitzkid were crucial in the development and spread of the style of music known as horror rock. They regularly toured worldwide and recorded/released many albums for both independent and major labels.
During Blitzkid's tenure, Goolsby also doubled up as bassist and live vocalist for Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (of The Misfits) band Gorgeous Frankenstein.
After Blitzkid, Argyle Goolsby continued his work writing and touring music as a solo artist. He tours with two different live bands. The Roving Midnight is his live electric band and The Hollow Bodies is his live acoustic band. He records simply under the name Argyle Goolsby. When not touring with his projects he is bassist for Michale Graves (singer of The Misfits) solo band.
A consummate live performer, Argyle Goolsby is known for his high energy performances as well as his stage show which includes but is not limited to illuminated coffin guitar amps, pyrotechnics and his trademark "Levitation Station" - a mic stand that he climbs and perches upon.
