Shalonda was born in Sumter, South Carolina. Shalonda Reese is the creator of Shalonda's Short Stories. She writes all of the stories and voices all of the characters. She is also the author of the children's book series, The Barton Street Kids and is the creator, writer and editor of Who the Son Sets Free is Free Indeed Magazine Journal.
