Nicolás Isasi

Born in La Plata, Argentina. He began studying sax at the age of 10 years old. He was graduated as a Film Director at the Universidad del Cine (FUC), Buenos Aires. In 2011 he obtained a grant of Ibermedia, to attend the Actors Direction Seminar taught by the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños, in Tenerife. Later, his love for opera made him study at the Superior Institute of Art of the Colon Theatre to become an Opera Stage Director. His film Out of Mind, about the pandemic, was screened at over 30 international film festivals. In 2023 made his debut as a director in Europe at the Teatro de Vila Real for Palacio de Mateus. He is one of the artists selected in the PQ 2024 Symposium: Technologies in Theatre, Performance and Exhibition Design organised by the Prague Quadrennial of Performance and Space Design. He worked on more than 80 film and opera productions. He is currently teaching Set Design at Ponchi Morpurgo's chair, writing and preparing new projects.
