Biography

Jeremy Evan Taylor is known for Security Plan (2021), Reinvention: The Legend of Trevor DuMonde (2014) and Date with the One Eyed Monster (2007).

Is of Irish, English, Filipino and European Spanish descent.

His father was much older than his mother. Captain Willard Dunagan Taylor (a tugboat captain on the rough and tumble Willamette and Columbia rivers during the Oregon timber boom of the mid 20th century) was born in 1914.

Has a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of Portland.

His mother was an immigrant from the Philippines. She raised two sons on her own after the fathers of both boys died early in their lives.

His trademark large eyes have a condition called Lattice Degeneration, making his retinas susceptible to tears and detachments. A botched eye surgery to repair holes in his retina resulted in temporarily wearing an eye patch and having permanent eye misalignment. This was the inspiration for his film "Date with the One Eyed Monster".
