Violetta D'Agata, AEC, AIC is a London-based Director of Photography specializing in cinematic storytelling for feature films and long-form drama. She brings a bold visual style and emotional intimacy to every project, combining technical mastery with a highly organic way of operating the camera, shaping lighting and movement to reflect characters' perspective and mood. She has lived, studied, and worked across the US, Spain, Italy, and the UK, bringing a rich international perspective to her cinematography.
Her narrative credits include Flovver (dir. Anita Udeep), It's the Blackness (dir. Hakeem Kae-Kazim), Purple Beatz (dir. Lola Atkins), and London Calling (dir. Roger Roth). In documentary, she has collaborated extensively with visionary director Julien Temple on I'm Curious Johnny (HBO Max), Silent Movie (BBC4), and Crock of Gold, as well as contributing to projects for VICE, HBO, and the BBC, including Edgar Wright's Sparks.
