He was elected a Fellow for the Royal Society. He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2015 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to Science. He is the Professor of Circadian Neurosciences at the University of Oxford in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. He lives in Reading, Berkshire, England.
