- Charmaine has worked for 20+ years professionally in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Reno, Melbourne, Sydney and the South Australian Film and Television Industry.
Growing up in the Adelaide hills, her childhood dream was to work on a movie in Universal Studios. She accomplished that dream by 24, as Assistant Production Coordinator on Con Man, starring Mark Hamill, James Caan, Talia Shire and Ving Rhames.
Charmaine moved to LA at 22 and lived there for 3 years. Her first year saw her study directing/Producing full time (2008). Her second year; professionally Coordinate and Assistant Direct 8 feature films, back-to-back (2009). With 4 production companies wanting to sponsor her to stay. However, with strong ties to her homeland of Australia, she ventured home in 2010.
Here, she hit the ground running and has since worked back-to-back on American, Chinese, and Australian productions filmed either in Victoria, NSW or South Australia.
Most recently: Disney+ 8 part series The Clearing, starring Miranda Otto, Teresa Palmer, Guy Pearce, Xavier Samuel and Claudia Karvan.
Blacklight starring Liam Neeson. Chinese/Australian co-production The Whistleblower starring Wei Tang and Jiayin Lei.
The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee - Paul Hogan, John Cleese, Chevy Chase and Olivia Newton-John.
Lion - Nicole Kidman, David Wenham, Rooney Mara, and Dev Patel.
And I, Frankenstein- Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy and Miranda Otto, to name a few.
Charmaine's most recent Producing Achievement comes with Short Film- Ashes, which was 1 of 6 films Nominated for Best Short Film through The Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) for 2024. A film starring Georgina Haig, Michael Caton and Michala Banas.
And Short Film ‘No Thank You’ that was 1 of the top 15 Finalists for Tropfest 2026. Winning a car, for the inaugural Chery Creative Acceleration Award. Recognising bold, innovative and ambitious filmmaking and creative excellence.
The festival’s jury was led by Margot Robbie and included James Cameron, Sarah Snook, Bruna Papandrea, Danny Philippou, Dylan River and Taron Edgerton.
Charmaine is in development for Producing her feature film, ‘Enduro’ a female-driven, motocross sports action film.
