Miryam Charles is a Haitian-born filmmaker based in Montréal. Her films have screened at festivals across Québec and internationally. Her first feature, This House (Cette maison), premiered at the Berlinale and went on to screen at AFI Fest. It was also selected for TIFF's Canada's Top Ten and named one of Sight and Sound's Best Films of 2022. Her work has been presented at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, MoMA, the Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery, the Everson Museum of Art, and the Palais de Tokyo.
