Darcy Van Poelgeest is a multi-award winning writer, director and editor. CORVUS (2012) screened at festivals world-wide including Toronto After Dark, Vancouver International Film Festival and Sci-Fi-London. CORVUS was also nominated for 3 Golden Sheaf Awards, 9 American Maverick Movie Awards, 7 Leo Awards including Best Director and became the #1 selling short film in Canada on iTunes - remaining one of the all time best sellers.

Darcy's newest short film The Orchard (2015) received a bravoFACT Award, screened at the Atlantic Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, and Yorkton Film Festival where t's been nominated for best Short Film. THE ORCHARD also won 5 awards at the L.A. Shorts Awards including Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Director and was recently nominated for 5 Leo Awards including Best Short Drama.
