- As a school-age boy, Brian showed his artistic talent by spraying graffiti on a long large white wall in Scott Lane, Wigan, Planet Rock. The wall owners didn't rush to paint over it and became an unofficial landmark for the few years it was there.
- During the height of OASIS's most popular period, when Brian was directing and designing the sleeve artwork for singles and albums he returned to Wigan to photograph the sleeve of 'D'You Know What I Mean?' on the Blind Steps in an alleyway in Wigan. He recruited many of his friends to appear on the sleeve. After the photo was taken the band with Brian and numerous wiganers went back to the Bellingham Hotel close by for refreshments.
- Brian directed to created the album cover for OASIS's album What's the Story Morning Glory. many think that the two characters walking towards each other are members of the band. they are actually DJ Sean Rowley and Brian Cannon walking past each other (producer Owen Morris holds the album's master tapes in the background). It has been said that Liam and Noel had agreed to be in the photo, but as it was an early morning shoot and time was passing neither had turned up, and the street in London was getting busier Brian chose to get on with the work and was forced to use himself and Mr Rowley.
