Aristarkh Venes is a Russian stage and screen actor.

He was born on the 4th of October, 1989 in Moscow in a family of professional actors. His father, Victor Venes, is a son of Greek political emigrants. His mother, Svetlana Shibaeva, is Russian. Aristarkh also has a sister Maria, who is 13 years younger than him.

Venes studied at English special school, went in for dances, karate, played the violin. He also played soccer professionally and dreamed to dedicate his life to it, but fate intended otherwise.

Aristarkh Venes has heard the command "Action!" since the age of 7. He made his debut in the TV Series "911". Later he had a bit part in a movie "Zhizn zabavami polna". Since then Venes started filming actively. In adolescence he played the lead roles in such TV Series as "Operatsiya "Tsvet natsii", "Landysh serebristyy 2", "Kadety" and "Kodeks chesti 2".

While working on "Operatsiya "Tsvet natsii", Aristarkh was expelled from the school, because he didn't attend classes because of the filming, and in this way Venes graduated school as an external student.

After school Aristarkh Venes entered the studio school of the Moscow Art Theatre (MAT) (the course of Konstantin Raikin).

In 2006 Aristarkh starred in the TV Series "Kadetstvo", where he played the role of a charming and hilarious cadet Ilya Sukhomlin by a nickname "Sukhoy". The TV Series was top-rated, had 3 seasons and made Venes all-Russian famous.

In 2010 Aristarkh played the lead role in the movie "Odnoklassniki" by a cult Russian director Sergey Solovyov. The same year Venes received a GQ Magazine Man of the Year Award for that movie.

Aristarkh Venes studied at the Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. Gerasimov (VGIK) at the acting and directing faculty (the course of Sergey Solovyov and Valeriy Rubinchik).

In 2015 Aristarkh starred in the TV Series "Zakon kammennykh dzhungley" - criminal tragicomedy about a gang of teenagers. The TV Series had 2 seasons, had a great success and became a real national hit. Boys all over the country started cutting the hair in order to look like Tim (the character of Aristarkh Venes).

In 2016 Venes acted in the movie "Pyatnitsa", where he did the dangerous stunt himself, for which he received the award "Stunt of the year" from the "Guild of stuntmen of Russia".

In the rich filmography of Aristarkh Venes there is also a place for international projects, such as "Maximum Impact" (2017) and "Beyond the Edge" (2018).

The TV Series "Vodovorot" ("Maelstrom") (2020) and "KAMAZ. Extreme Racing" (2021), where Aristarkh played the lead roles, were presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2021.

Aristarkh participated in different sports and entertainment shows, such as "Bolshie gonki" (the Russian version of the French TV Show "Intervilles") (2010), "Zhestokie igry" (the Russian analogue of the American TV Game Show "Wipeout") (2011) and "Fort Boyard" (the Russian version) (2021).

Venes often appears in the enterprise performances.

He speaks English, French and Greek fluently, does boxing, plays the guitar, can drive a car and a motorcycle.

Aristarkh Venes is also known as a fan of the Russian Football Club "Lokomotiv".
