Biography

My name is Ruben Valdés, and I am a graduate of the International Film School in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, where I specialized in sound design. My work focuses on recording, mixing, and post-production for audiovisual projects. I have collaborated on numerous films, documentaries, fine arts projects, and games in both Cuba and Brazil, where I reside. Fluent in Spanish (from all América Latina), English, and Portuguese. My educational background includes a degree in sound design from the International Film School EICTV in Cuba, a Master’s degree in Sound Design for Audiovisual Media from the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (KHM) in Germany, and training in electroacoustic music at the Physics & Music Faculty of Havana University. I also studied sound design for animation at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.
