Biography

Fahad Farooque is an accomplished Australian actor whose career spans over three decades across theatre, musical theatre, film, television, and live performance. He is best known for his work in Bloom (2025), Lucid Dreaming (2023), First Day (2020), Dark Blue (2019), and The Marriage of Figaro (2009).

A versatile and compelling performer, Fahad brings authenticity and depth to every role. His performances are grounded in a naturalistic style, enriched by his extensive experience and adaptability on both stage and screen.

An accomplished vocalist, Fahad has received professional training in musical theatre, contemporary, and classical voice, as well as Hindustani classical music. He spent six months in India studying under the renowned teacher Ustad Aslam Khan, culminating in the recording of his debut album in Indian semi-classical music. His vocal talents have been showcased in leading stage roles, major concerts, and diverse musical productions.

Born in Australia to Indian and Pakistani parents, Fahad is fluent in Hindi and Urdu, and delivers English with an impressive range of accents, including Australian, Indian, Pakistani, Arabic, Persian/Iranian, Afghan, British (various), and American.

Fahad has refined his craft through ongoing training with Heesom Casting and is proudly represented by Buckland and Gun.
