Biography

Performed in numerous plays and musicals in a 45 seat theatre in the living room of director Don Bluth's house. Three years later Don would officiate Cord and Caitlin's marriage.

Once lost 27lbs in 13 days for a role. He felt the character should be deathly thin and hollowed out, and reduced his food intake to one can of tuna, two cups of coffee, and one handful of spinach per day; all while running for an hour then hiking for two. He's said returning to normal weight after the show's closing was surprisingly easy.

Is a certified Scientific Hypnotherapist, and uses hypnosis for character development in his roles. For a short time, Cord worked with wife, Caitlin Herst, in an alternative medical office where they saw clients for hypnotherapy. They also performed live comedy stage hypnosis shows together, but ultimately left to focus fully on acting.
