Biography

Jason is a senior television executive with a strong track record in devising and producing successful TV programmes, shortform series and online content for broadcasters across the UK, USA and continental Europe.

Having previously worked as both a producer and in development for many world class independent producers on some of TV's biggest factual and entertainments formats, in 2011 Jason founded The Connected Set, a next generation independent television production company working at the intersection of TV and online content.

As co-founder and Creative Director of the company Jason oversees creative output, including Executive Producing TV shows and shortform projects, managing the format development slate, developing and representing the company with commissioners, and overseeing the editorial direction of web, second screen and social media projects.

Beyond his day-to-day role as guardian of the company's creative and editorial excellence Jason also plays a central role in commercial and legal negotiations, production budgeting and cost monitoring, setting out company strategy, creating a best-in-class company culture, managing third party partnerships including with distributors and co-funders, and the recruitment of key staff and freelance talent for productions.

With many years of successful productions, awards, media commentary on industry issues, judging for BAFTA and supporting the work of charities to drive inclusion in TV, Jason has developed a huge contact book of commissioners and programme talent across the UK, US and more recently Europe.
