Biography

Mary Macrae is Producer and Production Manager at Shark Island Institute. For Shark Island Productions Mary produced the films The Pool (2024), The Department (2021), The Final Quarter (2019), The Oasis: Ten Years Later (2019), Suzy & the Simple Man (2016), Paul Kelly - Stories of Me (2012), The Soldier (2011) and Stories from the Inside (2013). She is in production with The Pool (2024) and The Valley (2026). Mary was Line Producer and Production Assistant for The Oasis (2008) and In the Company of Actors (2007) and Production Manager for the short films Polly and Me (2009) and Wall Boy (2009). Mary Co-Produced three Good Pitch Australia events (2014-2016) and she leads and coordinates the impact work for the Shark Island Institute portfolio. She is one of the impact team for The Hunting Ground (2015) Australia Project, and is working with the global impact team for Unrest (2017) and The Bleeding Edge (2018).
