Biography

Sandro Lyrio is a Brazilian-born American actor. He was born on Feb 18, 1980 in Salvador, capital city of the state of Bahia, Brazil. Sandro's parents left Brazil for Miami when he was still a child. A couple years later they relocated to the Island of Oahu, Hawaii where Sandro lives today.

Sandro is mostly known for his role as Edwardo in the SYFY production The Snake King also known as Snakeman staring Stephen Baldwin and directed by Allan A. Goldstein. As a child Sandro started as a model through a talent agency in Honolulu. At 13 he auditioned along with another 200 kids for a role in a pilot for a TV series shot in Hawaii called Chop Cop, directed by John Landis. The audition came down to Sandro and another child actor who happened to have more martial arts training which weighed more for the role even though Sandro had allot more surfing experience which was also was important for the role but easier to cast a stunt double for. However, director John Landis liked Sandro so much that he rewrote a scene and created a character just so he could have Sandro in the show.
