Mariya Kozhevnikova is a Russian actress, who became famous for her role as Alla Grishko in the comedy series Univer (2008). Born in the family of Soviet hockey player, two-time Olympic champion, Honored Master of Sports Aleksandr Kozhevnikov and English teacher Margarita Kozhevnikova. In 2005, while studying at the institute, she began her career as an actress, participating in extras and playing minor roles. Graduated from RATI-GITIS in 2006.

In 2008, Kozhevnikova received the role of Irina in the series 'Borodin. Return of the General'. In 2009, she starred in the TV series Kremlyovskie kursanty (2009) as Anna Prokhorova, the wife of one of the cadets, and in 2010, as Vika in the feature-length science fiction film Dark World (2010). In 2011, she played the role of Kristina in the film Svadba po obmenu (2011). In the series Univer (2008) Kozhevnikova played the blonde Alla Grishko for five seasons (three years). In 2012, she had several works: one of the main roles of Katya in the feature film Just Married (2012), nurse Anya in the TV series Sklifosovsky (2012); villainess Diana in the adventure film Sokrovishcha O.K. (2013) and the role of Zhenya in the Civil War series Krasnye gory (2013).

In 2015, she starred in the film <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt4187590/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Battalion (2015)</a>, for which she shaved off her hair. For her role as Natalya Tatishcheva in this film, Kozhevnikova was awarded the Golden Eagle Award in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Mother, with partner Evgeniy Vasilev, of sons Ivan Vasilev (b. January 19, 2014), Maksim Vasilev (b. January 26, 2015), Vasiliy Vasilev (b. July 19, 2017) and a fourth son (b. September 2023).
