Andrés Cuevas is a Colombian film director, screenwriter, producer and visual artist. He is the founder of Cuevasfilm Cine Entretenimiento, an independent production company dedicated to film, television and animation.
Originally trained in Graphic Design at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, he began his career as a comic artist and illustrator, working for publications including El Espectador, Shock Magazine and Discos FM. He later expanded his work into screenwriting, directing and producing audiovisual content.
His debut feature film, Souvenir (2014), which he wrote, directed and produced, was selected for the Bogotá Film Festival and the Chicago Latino Film Festival. Prior to his feature debut, his short films El despertar de Agustín and El salto a la felicidad participated in national and international film festivals.
Through Cuevasfilm, Cuevas has developed projects across fiction, animation and transmedia storytelling, including the animated adaptation En la diestra de Dios Padre and the fantasy feature project Griever. His work combines visual storytelling, folklore, fantasy and independent filmmaking.
