Mini bio

  • Rya Meyers is a motivated actress who is quickly gaining momentum in TV, Film, and Commercials. Born and raised in southern California, Rya graduated Valedictorian of her high school class and earned her bachelor's degree with honors from UCLA. She performed for the Walt Disney Company at Disneyland Park in Anaheim and joined the entertainment department at Universal Studios Hollywood. Rya originated the lead role of Rachel Scott in the world premiere of "The Columbine Project" in Los Angeles, for which she was nominated for an Artistic Director's Achievement Award for Best Actress. She traveled with the production to perform the same role Off-Broadway in New York.

Rya began her career working on student projects from many of the film schools around southern California. She soon made her way into independent shorts and features. As web series started gaining traction, she was cast as the lead in "Kill Spin," a project developed specifically for a social networking/shopping/new media site known as Lockerz. She spent several years studying with renowned acting coaches Janet Alhanti, Alice Carter and Brian Reise. She developed her improv comedy skills at UCB and joined the tight-knit actor's collective led by Brad Fleischer. A spot on "Pretty Little Liars" served as Rya's TV debut, with several appearances to follow on such shows as The Mindy Project, NCIS: New Orleans, Sleepy Hollow, How To Get Away With Murder, and MacGyver. The new media projects she has been a part of have garnered millions of views, including the short "The 5 Stages After a Breakup" and the vignette series "The Flip Side." She played the best friend of Anna Kendrick and sister of Wyatt Russell in the star-studded ensemble feature "Table 19." Rya is constantly studying, creating, and working on new projects.
