Biography

Jorge Ariel Blanco Muñoz is a stage, television, and film actor who graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Drama.

His feature film debut came in 2008 with Pedro, the MTV biopic about AIDS activist Pedro Zamora. The film, written by Dustin Lance Black, screened internationally at prestigious festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival. It was later nominated for the Humanitas Prize, a Writers Guild of America Award, and a GLAAD Media Award.

He is also recognized for his leading role in Especial Musical 2017: Nuestra Isla, Nuestro Encanto, the annual holiday television special produced by Banco Popular de Puerto Rico.
