Biography

Davoud is a filmmaker and visual artist with an MFA in Documentary Media from Ryerson University in Toronto. His experience working in the cinematic medium spans two decades and has taken him to the four corners of the planet. Davoud's focus is on the side effects of a class-based society: class conflict, labour and human rights abuses, and environmental degradation.

His feature-length documentary Iran: Voices of the Unheard was selected to screen at various human rights film festivals on both sides of the Atlantic. Age of Iron, his second feature-length, shot mostly on a GoPro, is an experiment in the use of single-lens cameras for the medium of filmmaking. He is the producer and Director of Photography of Yasi Gerami's debut feature-length; Sustenance.
