Biography

Casimir Theriault was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. He began his acting career in the Kathryn Bigelow film "Weight of Water" as the Prosecutor's Clerk. Casimir would further his filmmaking skills by taking part in an intensive script to screen course hosted by the Nova Scotia Film Development Cooperation, under the tutelage of Stephen Reynolds. The finished product was a short horror film entitled "Shadows" which Theriault was a lead actor, assistant director and stunt coordinator. The film was screened at the 2000 Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax.

Spring of 2000 Casimir moved to Toronto where he acted and worked as crew on many independent productions. Casimir eventually formed his own production company, RAZZ-MA-KAZZ Productions, and produced his first feature, "CX2, which had three screenings in Toronto and Nova Scotia. CX2 is the story of a wrestler with powers who moves to Toronto with dreams of making it big. Theriault was the lead actor, director, editor and more on this film. RMK Productions would also create 16 short films and compete in numerous Toronto 48 hour film challenges, with short film Biztardikus Maximus, winning 3 awards.

RMK productions is finishing their second feature, "The Ballad of Lance Matthews" about a retired army soldier who finds work as a stripper in a bi positive burlesque entertainment facility. Theriault plays the Roomate in this feature as well as directed and editing the project which should release in the fall of 2027.

In 2021, Casimir began his music career under the moniker CAZ X and released his first song, "Service Dog," which has over 28k streams on Spotify. CAZ X has released 17 songs while finishing up 4 new songs. Casimir appears in the official videos which can be found on his YouTube channel.
