Biography

John is an LA-based director and cinematographer, born and raised in New York City. He received his bachelor's degree in film & TV production from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. After moving to LA, he worked as assistant to producer Chris Meledandri at Illumination Entertainment before getting his Masters in directing from the American Film Institute. He's worked with social media influencers and brands in fashion, beauty, and gaming, directing and shooting a range of commercials and branded content. He shot the feature films A Thousand Junkies (2018) and the upcoming Late Bloomers, as well as shorts that played at the Sundance and SXSW film festivals. His short film Nominated (2020) was featured on Funny or Die, where YouTube user NoBody_NoWhere commented "This isn't funny at all but I did find it interesting."
