Biography

Emily Rued started acting in second grade when her audition for the role of the Cat in "Chicken Little" brought the house down, and she's never looked back. She's refined her craft since then by studying at A.C.T., Berkeley Rep, SFSU, UCSB, The Beverly Hills Playhouse, and more. She was nominated for Best Actress by the Orange County Register and has acted in films such as "Scales: Mermaids are Real", "Let Us In", and "Good Grief."

As a writer and producer, Emily created 3 seasons of the comedic web series "Maggie" featuring Emily along with Jorge Garcia and Samantha Sloyan. Her first feature film, "Good Grief,", which she starred in with Ray Wise, is currently in post-production. Her writing for it won 4 screenwriting awards, including The Grand Jury Prize from Sherman Oaks Film Festival. Emily gravitates towards telling heartfelt stories that explore death, loss, and horror, through a comedic lens. Even her horror comedy "Click LIke to Die" has heart... and zombies. The screenplay for Click Like to Die placed in the Top Ten of the Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival and was a finalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition.

In addition to being an actor, writer, and producer, Emily is a licensed and practicing psychotherapist. Born and raised in a small town in Northern California that almost no one has ever heard of, she now resides in Los Angeles where she pets all the dogs and does all the yoga.
