Biography

Originally from Mexico City, Jorge grew up in the small, tropical border-town of Brownsville, on the southern-most tip of Texas.

Jorge received his training in directing and cinematography from the New York Film Academy in New York City in 2004, and has been working on film projects ever since. He assisted the camera department in a feature film in Toronto shortly after, and then went to work for an independent film production company, Campanario Entertainment, based out of Mexico City and Los Angeles. There he participated as an Associate Producer, reviewing and re-working scripts, assisted in the production, and post-production of seven feature films in Mexico City and surrounding areas.

Following those films, Jorge came on-board as the director and cinematographer for the pilot of a local project, Tierra De Nadie, and added the role of executive producer for the second episode. This was a television series idea produced by Televisa Noreste and DELACOLINA Films, Inc.

Jorge is married and has two children, and has spent the last 10 years working on corporate, promotional films and commercial advertisements locally with his production company, DELACOLINA Films, Inc. He also has participated in a number of film projects as the director or cinematographer, with the most recent examples being The Croutox Report (Co-Producer, Co-Director), Crystal Clarity (Director of Photography), and Lacónico (Director).
