Waseem Abbas(I)

Waseem Abbas is a TV and film actor, producer and film director of Pakistan. He was born in 1960. His father Inayat Hussain Bhatti (1928-1999) was a renowned film playback singer of Pakistan. His uncle Kifayat Hussain Bhatti (also known by his nickname 'Kaifi') is also a well-known film actor, film producer and director in Pakistan. Waseem started his career as an actor in films in 1978 and later found more success in TV drama serial acting. He also got involved in TV drama and film producing and film directing. He has dozens of films and TV drama serials to his credit by 2016. He was married to the famous TV actress Saba Hameed but they got divorced in the late 1990s. His popular TV comedy shows were 'Family Front', 'Landa Bazaar' and 'Lahori Gate' among others. His hit films include Manzil (1981), Aina Aur Zindagi (1982), Jatt Majhe Da (1988), Ishq Rog (1989) and Sarmaya (1990) and some others.
