- Elizabeth "Liz" Bernard is an Animation Director with over 25 feature film, episodic, and short film credits to her name. Some of her most notable projects include the Academy and BAFTA-nominated film "Free Guy," "The Electric State," and Steven Spielberg's "Disclosure Day."
Liz is dedicated to breathing life into creatures and characters, forging powerful emotional bonds with audiences through her work. Her exceptional craft earned her a prestigious Visual Effects Society (VES) nomination for Best Character Animation for her work on the Marvel Studios series "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law," as well as multiple Telly Awards.
After joining Digital Domain's team as an animator in 2011, Liz quickly rose to Lead Animator and eventually to Animation Supervisor. She continues to elevate both her own craft and the department's overall capabilities through her collaborative leadership and sharp attention to detail, which play a key role in achieving realistic animation, as well as in pipeline and show tool development.
With a B.A. in Drama from the University of Virginia, Liz has an extensive background in theatre arts and photography, contributing to her astute eye for composition, scene-building, and storytelling. Liz and the fully stacked animation team are an integral part of Digital Domain's world-class visual effects team, which consistently pushes creative boundaries to bring the impossible to life on screen.
