Sean Tien

Born and raised somewhere in between New Jersey, USA and Taipei, Taiwan, Sean has always had a passion for filmmaking and life. Whether it is experiencing things first hand or from behind a camera, Sean believed that Life should be simpler in many ways and his Films should reflect that. Always trying to figure things out, Sean gave up on trying to understand the art of Filmmaking on his own so he finally gave in to the collegiate educational system by obtaining a B.A. in Philosophy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and an M.F.A. in Film Production at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts.

Sean believes that the simple truths in Life are forgotten or at the least, convoluted by the meaningless complications of a society none of us created but were born into. Whether his film is about one of those simple truths, or whether they are purely escapist, Sean believes ultimately that Life is not that complicated, that there is always comedy to be found in any situation (yes, any situation), and that you only live once, so live it.
