Biography

Loïc Zimmermann is a French director and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. His work spans documentaries (Gamma Wray, A Solitary Mann, Larry Yust Explains), narrative shorts, and music videos, with recent credits including the award-winning short KRUZ' and the upcoming As Above So Below. Before turning the camera on his own stories, Loïc built a career as an illustrator, concept artist, and art director, contributing to major VFX productions including Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and Ghost in the Shell, and taught computer graphics along the way. That visual foundation now drives how he directs and shoots. Photography has been the bridge between those two lives. Shooting stills - much of it on the street, much of it documentary - sharpened his eye for the frame inside chaos. That instinct now shapes how he shoots on set.
