Peter Doohan was born on May 2, 1961 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. He was married to Angie Harper Carmichael. He died on July 21, 2017 in Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Australia.

Professional tennis player from Australia whose most famous victory was beating Boris Becker at Wimbledon in 1987. Becker was the favorite--in addition to being ranked #1 in the world--and Doohan was ranked #70, after starting the year ranked at #301. His victory earned him the nickname "Becker Wrecker". In 2017 he was diagnosed with ALS, aka "Lou Gehrig's Disease". He died in Sydney, Australia, on July 21, 2017.
